Dillon Warnek
Dillon Warnek is a songwriter from Seattle with two albums under his belt, and a third one keeping him up at night. He can be found playing often in his native Seattle, and touring the western part of the United States several times a year. With nods from the likes of Glen Hansard(The Frames/Swell Season) and Adam Haworth Stephens(Two Gallants/Saddle Creek), he is slowly but surely impressing his audiences, one song at a time, one show at a time. Do yourself a favor and catch a show(he might buy you a beer).

There are myriad melodies in town drifting around atop passable musicianship, wanting for a spark out of the guitar. Warnek's growing from the other direction. His musical base and proficiency on the acoustic guitar will serve him well as he moves forward. -Seattle Weekly

A Stranger Here is a melancholy album, painting a portrait of a young man sorting through the complications of growing up and letting go, uncertainly coming to terms with reality. His songs feature recurring images of cars and trains, and the transition from night to day — common metaphors of the transforming self. From beneath it all bursts a glow of optimism at defying stagnation despite dissipating dreams, both in his lyrics and melody. The album’s closing tune, “Cold Car,” ends the whole journey on a figurative high note, with Warnek repeating, “Onward I will go,” atop a compendium of encouraging instruments. And you realize that whatever he’s searching for, he’ll find it, or perhaps already has. - Hearingade

After coming out for an encore Hansard told how The Frames had arrived in Seattle on Thanksgiving night and went to the Owl N’ Thistle near Pioneer Square for a few beers. There they saw a young singer/songwriter, Dillon Warnek, performing to a mostly disinterested crowd, but the kid impressed the rock stars from Ireland. So Hansard brought the nervous young man ought before the huge Showbox crowd to perform one song before The Frames wrapped up their night. Warnek nailed it and the crowd went wild. - The Seattle Times
